The food did take a while to arrive, we didn't complain although I think the staff overheard is making a joke about it (teasing each other for ordering tricky things) and gave us 15 per cent off the bill!

The restaurant was quiet and we were able to chose where we wanted to sit. The staff were pleasant but almost over-attentive. The food was good and arrived rapidly. Good vegetarian options and the menu seemed to cover a wide range of dietry needs. No complaints there, desert was fabulous. Will return.

The bar and restaurant areas are fantastic with a great terrace and garden, perfect for a summer day. Wide choice of beers and wines. It is located in the heart of the New Forest with loads of wonderful walks from the front door. Very central for all the other attractions in the New Forest so it’s a perfect base of operations. Food is excellent and offers a wide choice of options
